Recently, we received a notification from SASO regarding the start of implementation of  Stage 2 of SASO 2870 – "Energy Efficiency, Functionality & Labeling Requirements for Lighting Products". Stage 2 of SASO 2870 sets a new technical requirement for In-scope Residential Lighting Products of rated Power below 60 W, these products must not exceed the new maximum limit for Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) per Technology whether it is Direct or In-Direct Light Source.
